  • Right Boots Tart this week!

On Monday i received a mailing inviting me to a christmas shopping event in Glasogw, containing an invitation and a shedload of coupons to be used @ any branch. however the xmas evening isnt on when we are in glasgow, sob sob. the tokens were mainly for things i dindt need but we kept one for tights and one for toni n guy/trevor sorbie in case i end up buying conditioner, ive got enough shampoo till i go to lush.

On Tuesday me and mum went to eastgate centre branch but she didnt want the digital camera in the end so that was fine. she bought lancome powder, a dkny perfume box set, a deodorant and somethign else

so that little lot came to £59 so that was £2.36 in pts

Plus 250 extra pts for a £30+ spend so another £2.50 worth of points

    so far £4.86 of points

then we go to Retail Park

mum buys tights and a shampoo - use a 100pts token on tights so that was another 117 or £1.17 in points

Then i bought Umberto Gianni shampoo, a legendary MEAL DEAL *hurrah* and some water and that was another 47pts - £0.47

PLUS the points from the online order the other week were added on, another 35 points or £0.35

Total amount of points received yesterday

    685 or £6.85! woo hoo!

Then today i go to boots and buy some smints, two bags each of banana chips and yoghurt covered raisings *yum - to be honest i didnt like the pumpkin seeds and there wasnt mixed nuts n raisins left which i had before* and a tin of organic ginger ale. That was another £5 odd so another 20 odd points

THEN i come home and whats sitting on the table?

Only a Boots Winter Remedies booklet with a DOUBLE POINTS coupon!

its like they are trying to tell me something - i spend too much and i need extra rewards! yay!

Only thing is, the mother threw the magazine out, so no points on munchies for me. stupid mother, she was told on saturday NOT to throw anything with Boots on it out!

i am a happy advantage_card, as i had me mother with me to negotiate the machine so now she can understand why i have so much bother with it.
my advantage_card is like gold dush

if you ignore the 100 points offer, and ignore the next offer of 125 points you end up with their final offer of 150 points......i got a facial scrub for £1.01 and made 50p , did`nt feel cheeky enough to do multiple transaction though ...............but clearly worthwhile.

Am amazed. Used to have a Boots card and lost it?? Read this thread and decided to apply for a new one which came yesterday. Headed over to Boots last nite and stuck it in the machine and out popped 150 points on Fragrance free and cucumber products. Located these in the store only to find that there was 38p off each product! This meant that they were paying me to take these to the tills and walk out with them.
Was queuing up, not quite sure how it would work with payment and was called to the Elizabeth Arden counter to pay due to the long queue. The girl there was really helpful - pointed out to me that they were paying me to take these and said that she would have to put through each item separately. I played dumb and asked if she minded doing this - she said it was no problem and even waited while I went and printed out another 10 vouchers and picked up 10 items! Cool! I will definitely use these (it may take me all year but i'll use them).
Back over today at lunch time - can;t wait!!!

    Question regarding points:

I know you can only buy certain things with points, does that include all fragrances and cosmetics (including Chanel etc?) Also does it include Electrical items such as Playstation 2s?

    cheers

    Rose999.
You don't need a voucher for each item you just need one voucher. The till automatically gives you points for each item eg two bars of soap, two facial cleansers, one voucher five lots of points. :)Just hand in the voucher when the assistant has scanned your items.
    Happy bargain hunting!
