Hi all
I have whirlpool washing machine.. its plumbed in to the kitchen sink trap.... after every wash it appears to retain or fill with water..... and i have to drain it all the time... so at first i thought this was because it was plumbed in to the kitchen sink trap and it was back filling or filling up with water from when the tap in the sink is on.... but its not becuase... i took the drain pipe off overnight and the following morning... it was filled with water again...
anyone know how to fix this or whats wrong with the washing machine?

It sounds like the water inlet valve is passing, these are pretty easy to change. Some machines have an hot and cold and newer machines only have a cold.
If you have hot and cold valves isolate one at night and if the machine still fills. If you isolate the cold valve and the next day the machine has not filled, you know it is that one that needs changing.0 -
excellent thanks for the tip... now i know what to research.
