Hello,
I have read a lot of your diaries and am delighted that you have achieved MF status - I am now attempting to emulate this but it will be about 2 years away yet! Thank you for your diary - it has helped lots of people that you don't even know!

Still thrifty though, after all these years:D0 -
ISA up and running - only 2.7% from C&G but better than a kick in the teeth.
Have transferred £1000 from other savings earning diddly-squat but aim to fill the rest with 'spare' money - whatever's left at the end of the month - to make it up to the £5100. This will inevitably mean keeping to my MFW MSE ways!
Had a bit of a spend today though - mustn't make it a habit! Back to work tomorrow which is probably just as well!

Hi All
Back to work this week which has been good (but then you knew that - look how the weather has changed!!!). Had a wild week on the plastic too - must not get into that habit! (I pay it off every month so it's ok!) Have worked out I need to save almost £586 a month if i'm to fill my ISA in time for the new year (assuming i don't put any more in this month) so MSE ways need to kick back in!
So this week I will:
- take my lunch to work every day (I have so far)
- have a freezer/store cupboard week apart from fresh fruit
- only use my car on work days
- not look at trollbeads on ebay
- no after work drinkies
- start checking electricity/gas consumption again and see if i can get it down
- not succumb to a new kitten even though there is one which comes to sit on my lap every time i go to a certain client's house and looks up adoringly at me.........
I also need to lose a bit of weight as I seem to have acquired 3 kilos somewhere along the way.
Have a good weekend everyone!

good luck PO!!
How does it feel to finally be MF? sounds like you are probably gonna be keeping going with the MSE ways so well done- but I think you do deserve some treats for all the hard work!! (like a kitten perhaps?....:rotfl:..... oh I am naughty but I cant resist cute babies!! )0 -
Congratulations on being MF!June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0

Good luck with your targets - onwards and upwards but I do think I might be tempted myself to have a wee splurge here and there. You have done so well, but don't forget to have a treat or two as lifes too short0
