This weather is killing me! I've turned into a kind of vampire, wearing sunglasses constantly with the blinds down lest the gorgeous sun tempt me out to the beach.

When it was roosting t'other week i tried reading outside, but i went to sleep every time lol!
I can't bear it!!

Our treasurer has suggested we should hire an aircon unit (we're planning to put Velux windows in the oven before next summer!) - I could kiss her! She also suggested we'd all feel better if we worked without our clothes on ...

I graduated today, just think forward to graduation day, as dissertation can and will affect your classification of degree. I left it too late when starting mine, and ended up staying up all night, the night before it had to be handed in to finish it all off. I'm glad I did though because I got a 2.1 :)

So that goes to show, even if you think you've no chance of getting a good grade or have left it too late, just try, you don't need to kill yourself doing it..

It might be hassle right now, but you'll be glad come graduation day when your degree classification is availible for all to see.

    Good luck!!!!

    Congratulations!! Well done!

Mine is for my masters so I have till september 30th. So I don't think we have the ceremony thing will maybe november.

My degree ceremony was hidoeous - my mum lost me at the beginning and thinking i'd done a runner, got the mc to do an announcement over the microphone adn i had to STAND UP like afive year old so she could see me!!!
oh if you don't laugh you'll cry!!

    I'm laughing. Absolutely :rotfl:

Sorry, I'm a mum. And I fear I may remember that one!

Mind you, I'm surprised the MC didn't tell her not to worry because weren't you all very carefully checked into your seats by hassled secretaries with clipboards running up and down the cathedral / concert hall / whatever large space you graduated in making sure EVERYONE was there so that the BigWig didn't read out the wrong name at any point? I used to be one of the hassled secretaries - latecomers were a nightmare! Because if they'd been 'crossed off' the list and then turned up they had to be put back on, and there was a LOT of (dignified) running to do for that!
