Yep. I've got a couple of servings of liver casserole waiting their turn in the freezer even as we speak.Hi, I'm a Board Guide on the Old Style and the Consumer Rights boards which means I'm a volunteer to help the boards run smoothly and can move and merge posts there. Sorry to be a pain but would it then be okay to cook the bacon and onions, freeze it, defrost it and cook it again with liver to freeze?? Not sure about the defrosting and freezing stuff???Kirsty, Taunton, xxx0

But to be honest, grab some liver now, cook the whole dish complete and then freeze it. That way you don't have to do an extra cook and freeze cycle.
If it's just the bacon you're concerned about - cook it on its own and freeze it. Then just add it to your liver and onion when you get around to making the meal.Hi, I'm a Board Guide on the Old Style and the Consumer Rights boards which means I'm a volunteer to help the boards run smoothly and can move and merge posts there. Thanks Squeaks. It is just the bacon that I need to use up so will fry it up (thoroughly) and freeze it in bits ready for OH to put into his liver & bacon when he gets round to it - at least we wont have wasted a pack of bacon.
No chance of me making the liver & bacon now - I cant stand liver so that is definitly OH's job if he wants to eat it he he!Kirsty, Taunton, xxx0 -
