Back from town, had lunch and read posts...

Still got to finish hoovering and then just bits and pieces to do. I may actually manage to get everything crossed off my list today.
I had a call from the school. My DS has been bullying another boy. He only went back to school on friday and this poor boy didn't want to go to school on monday!! He's got an afternoon detention. Mean while I have no idea how to deal with it...!!
How can a child with parents who are obviously horrified by this kind of behaviour, behave like that??

  • taurus - I cross stitch loads of different types of things but mainly as pictures or cards - am halfway through a Heritage chickadee design (6 cute birdies sitting on a branch for a friend and then I've got to get started on my Mum and Dad's 40th anniversary pressie - I'm going to stitch one of their wedding photos. For their 60th birthdays I did 2enormous 100+ hours projects - for Mom a Mary Hickmont Victorian lady at a grand piano (14 different shades of grey on a painted grey background which drove me loopy and for Dad who manages a betting shop I did this

Just going to digest lunch as my IBS is bad at the moment and then 2-3 intensive cleaning to get at least downstairs looking ok.

Hi Dusty - re: your IBS - I suffer badly as well and have been recommended to drink pu-ehr tea. It's made by Dragonfly teas (the one I buy is, anyway) and it smells awful, tastes like boiled mud & branches BUT - it has sorted my IBS out a treat. I have recommended it to 5 other people who were sorted after 3 days, as well. Apparently, it helps with digestion and some star uses it for loosing weight although I can't prove that works...! I drink one cup after lunch and one cup after dinner and I fell SO much better. Should start working after three days. It's £1.98 in Waitrose and the trim of the bix is purple.

  • How anal is this - I file all of my cross stitch designs from magazines in subject order so that I can find them (but at least it means I only keep odd bits rather than the whole magazine)

PS - did the picture work in post 598?
    I'd rather be watching CSI!

likklegibbon - fabby cross stitching!! I love cross stitching but have never done anything quite as impressive as that! It is so very theraputic though and you're right - keeps your mind off of things like eating and smoking! I haven't done it for years - I must start again - when I decide to give up one of my addictions! (ie - smoking / eating too much chocolate)
