Littlewoods Vent...

Last year I wanted months for a wardrobe package to come in stock, so when they finally did I ordered them. The were delivered on 18th December. On opening the boxes 2 of the parts were damaged, so I immediately called Littlewoods who told me they would send replacement parts within 21 days. 21 days later, still no parts, another call to Littlewoods informs me that delivery for replacement parts is within 28 days. I finally got a delivery date of 18th January and duly booked the day off work. No delivery appears. It seems the van had broken down and the driver had bothered to contact the customers he was supposed to be delivering to. A new delivery date of 22nd January is given. On the 21st January a call is received from the Home Delivery Network informing me that my delivery will be 23rd January. I've been told the 22nd, say's I, no definately 23rd, say's they. So I duly changed my morning off. 22nd January I arrive home from work and an attempted delivery has been made, but I was told tomorrow, I told them. They still turn up on the 23rd, this time to collect previously stated damaged pieces. I refused, since they are not packed up and I wasn't told to expect a collection. New delivery date of 30th January. Package turns up, woohoo!! It's the wrong box and contains nothing I need. It also contain a damaged part. So now I have arranged collection for that and simply ordered the full wardrobe set again, since delivery for that is 2 weeks, yet replacement boxes are 4 weeks, go figure. We'll see if I receive it all in one piece. Then I'll just take out the parts I need repack with the damaged parts and return it. Littlewoods also charged me for the box I received, telling me that was their standard policy, and they will credit my account when the receive it back. Disgusting. I intend to clear my account with them as soon as this saga is over.
