B & Q Supply and Fit Kicthen

Hi Everyone,
A bit of advice please!
I had a quote from B & Q to supply and fit a medium/small sized Kitchen (u shaped, with about 8 units, sink, tap, hood and worktops). No tiling or flooring is included.
The quote was: Supply £2100 & Fit £3000.
I am reasonably happy with the supply figure, but the quote figure seems high. I have received a supply & fit quote from a local guy but that came to £6250 all in! I have been recommended to speak to Howdens, but they told me they are trade only and they don't offer a fitting service.
So now I am in a dilemma as what to do. Should I get some more quotes? If so does anyone know anyone good in the Southampton area?

a local chap should be able to fit for 1k. a handyman could do it.
absolute max would be 2k even in the south coast.
