homemade tomato feed?

Hi there,

This stuff always seems quite pricy in garden centres, anyone know of a homemade alternative? I tried google, and there were hints that you could make it with comfrey, but no recipes alas. I'd be grateful for any ideas!

I tried some DIY liquid fertilizer last year using a varient of the method mentioned here

Using an old platic fermentation bucket i had.
It smells a bit as it ferments so its best kept outside but it works well.

you can use nettles too in the same way as comfrey. It absolutely stinks so you do need a tight fitting lid on the bucket.
