Lidl scales...

We bought very good looking digital scales at Lidl for £10. They are manufactured by Kompernass, the German company that makes all of Lidl appliances (including their very cheap bread maker, about which I have read conflicting reports).
Admittedly, they are cheap, but I would like to know if they are reliable, since scales should last forever and if they are not, it would be "cheaper" to invest in a well known make. So my question is: Has anybody tried them?
Thanks for any feedback on this!

I bought a set of the bathroom scales if thats what you mean. Havent had them long and one drawback is that theyeither weigh in kilos or pounds not stones and pounds but its not that bad once you have worked out what you weigh! I bought them to replace a pair of scales (why a pair???) I bought about 2 years ago that were digital body fat scales and cost £40 and they sudenly started saying I was a stone and half heavier than I was! so in my opinion the price thing doesnt count0

Thanks Mrs Baggins! Were they Lidl ("Balance") scales? I would not mind at all not having stones.
Now regarding your previous scales, I have good reason to believe scales that do "extra" things --like reading your body fat or giving you your BMI-- always mess up and can't even give you a proper weigh reading!0 -
I saw these in Lidl they look very nice and modern but I wont go near any scales until I can fit back into a size 14 jeans at least so cannot help you...but they do look the bizz...:D
