Do Gift Cards/Vouchers And Sims Sell On Ebay?

I am a complete newbie when it comes to Ebay, so sorry if I come across really thick. I have a whole collection of gift vouchers for Argos, Boots, JJB, Arcadia, HMV etc from doing surveys and as refunds. They are all still in date. Instead of fluttering around at home I want to sell them. My question is, do these actually sell on Ebay? OK, I am probably going to have to accept less than the face value, but that's OK as long as I get at least 70% of the face value. Am I being realistic or will they not sell fpr this much? Also, must I take photos of them all when I put them on or is it not essential? I have no feedback as I am totally new. I don't want to putting on loads of stuff if nothing is going to sell. Also, do Virgin Sims with £5 credit loaded sell on there? Apologies if I sound really thick. I'm totally new to Ebay. Thanks for any advice and tips in advance.

  • the gift vouchers do well, but the sim cards have had their day so to speak.every one knows you can get them for free, your best off selling them in bulk or a job lot

  • Vouchers do tend to sell well on eBay, particularly Boots and Amazon ones. Most of them go for *around* face value, or at least 90%. After your Paypal and eBay fees, you'd still easily make more than 70% face value.
I wouldn't bother with a Buy It Now as well as an auction price, because as soon as someone puts a bid in, your BIN disappears.
SIM cards with credit on should sell too, though I wouldn't expect them to recognise their face value. I think a Virgin £5 free credit one should fetch about £3.50 or £4 though.

You can search on eBay for completed listings of items similar to yours, this may help to give you a rough idea of what you could expect.

    Happy selling! :)
