What is 'padded output' on TV amp?

In my new home there is a Wolsey Electronics Sapphire Amplifier in the loft. (The previous people tried to wire most rooms in the house for TV reception). The amp has 1 'full output' and 8 'padded outputs'. Could someone please tell me what this means? Thanks in advance.

I would sugest asking in the 'Amp's sub forum on the avforums: http://www.avforums.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=130

It could have been worse. At least source code's not combustible, or you can bet somebody at McAfee would have lit it.

Not sure that forum will be much help - it's an aerial amp, not a home cinema amp!

I ~think~ full output is designed to allow an InfraRed remote to work without needing a separate bypass. If you're not using an IR device then I don't think it's important.

That might be the wrong sub-forum but AVforums is definately a good place to ask.
It's my problem, it's my problem
If I feel the need to hide
And it's my problem if I have no friends
And feel I want to die
