Taking Legal Action against Ebay - Indefinite Suspension

Hi.
I haven't made 20k profit. Latest accounts (estimated) show approximately 8k gross. Remember ebay and Paypal have taken around 4k in fees (around 8% of margin), so Im only left with 8k
Take into account the tuition fees I pay for university (3k) and accommodation in Coventry (67per week, which is 2680 on a 40-week let), and then weekly expensese of 80 (3200 over 40 weeks), my total uni expenses are 8880, which can be covered just about with the money I have made. But with most of the profit tied up in unsold stock, Im in trouble...
but that wont stop the inland revenue looking their share of your £8000 profit....0 -

I know. I was just saying, I am not loaded to the tune of 20k, to go and do a Luxembourg court case.
I'll obviously declare this income in the tax return Ill fill out in Jan 09, for the Y/E Mar 08. Even then, if this eBay thing doesn't work out, I'd have to write off some stock as loss. And also, Ive got around 5.5k personal allowance.
Lets hope eBay reactivates my account, so that I can sell the existing stock I have.
Also, common sense would say that if I was selling too much as a Pvt seller, they should have just asked me to register as a business! If they'd looked closer, they would have seen my "Return Policy" complied with DSR and Sales of Goods Act. I don't think that's the reason.
Lets wait for Monday, when they reply.0 -

I don't think anyone has the absolute right to use the site, merely the privileged.
Have you looked into other online auction/ sales sites like Ebid and Tazbar to see if selling your wares there might be viable?
Since eBay have made a lot of money from you in fees it's in their interests to accept you back as a seller and earn more money from you, so if you carry on politely pestering them you might get a favourable response eventually, but don't hold your breath.0 -
I was doing the same as you selling quite a high volume on ebay and they suspended me for the same reason. I was emailing back and forth for a 5 months hitting my head my head against a brick wall of auto response messages.
Now I've designed my own site and started selling through that and using Google adwords to advertise. Much more profit and volume. I recommend you do the same. I've come to realise that Ebay is for mugs as they take most of the profits!! I suggest you do the same.0 -
