Stupid question, please don't shoot me but is there any way of powering a laptop on the move,i.e in the car etc, can you get a cigarette lighter adaptor or anything like that ???

I know someone with a Panasonic Toughbook who charges it from the cigarette lighter socket in his car. It doesn't charge very quickly, but it keeps the laptop charged if he wants to use it with a low battery. (Obviously, not while driving!) Check your laptop manufacturers accessories website or online store. The ability is there, but you need the correct adapter from your laptop manufacturer.gmrsupplies wrote:Stupid question, please don't shoot me but is there any way of powering a laptop on the move,i.e in the car etc, can you get a cigarette lighter adaptor or anything like that ???0 -

yes should work, all it does in plugs into your cars cigg socket and provides you with a normal domstic 240V plug you would find in your house. all you do is plug the laptop charger into it.
