I know someone with a Panasonic Toughbook who charges it from the cigarette lighter socket in his car. It doesn't charge very quickly, but it keeps the laptop charged if he wants to use it with a low battery. (Obviously, not while driving!) Check your laptop manufacturers accessories website or online store. The ability is there, but you need the correct adapter from your laptop manufacturer.
  • yes. maplins have one on offer! grab it!

it will power 150w that should be sufficient for laptop charger!!

for 20 quid its prob your cheapest and quickest way of using laptop in car. If you get a 300w model you can even power a mini pc in your car...... :rotfl:

  • yes should work, all it does in plugs into your cars cigg socket and provides you with a normal domstic 240V plug you would find in your house. all you do is plug the laptop charger into it.

    Simple!
