Not sure if its in all shops but I got loads of "fillers" from stationary box yesterday. Notebooks in 3 packs pens with fluffy crowns or footballs on top 3 pack hairbobbles loads on a card all reduced to 49p !:AIt matters not how long a stars shines ,what is remembered is the brightness of it's light.

I usually go to a pound shop and buy one toy each child. Saves buying all the bits that, to be honest, most kids/parents just throw away.
You could look for a ball each, teddy, dvd, large chocolate bar etc. Believe me, as a parent I would rather my child be given something they can "use" as I have a drawer full of pencils, sharpeners, blowers, cheap yo-yo's that they never use. At least you can feel the money has not been wasted!
And this gives you a fixed budget - £1 x amount of children!!
Hope this helps.DFW No. 344

Thats the secret! You collect all the tack that others give your little darlings and give it to someone else! :rotfl: Your kids won't miss it because as you say, they very rarely use it.
I have to say as a 'saint mummy' (yeah right!) I wish they didn't get so many sweets and chocolates in party bags, they have loads of junk food at parties (especially if your not there supervising how much they have!:D ) and then insist on eating as much of the party bag rubbish afterwards! (Sorry if that sounds mean!)...
Another idea would be to get books. The Works (be quick, they're going out of business) sell multibags that you can split. I think they work out as @50p per book.
Hope this helps.I don't want to make money, I just want to be wonderfulMarilyn Monroe0 -
