Cheap bits to fill party bags

My son is going to be six on tuesday and he's having a bowling party due to how expensive that is he can only have a few friends. So I decided to do party bags for his whole class to make up to one's not coming to the party. I got the paty bags from asda for 48p.
I was thinking of putting a balloon in each bag. a pack of crisps, a penguin, maybe a note pad and a pencil. I've seen all these things in multi packs in poundland.
Any ideas of things that would be too expensive.

if you've got a sainsburys near you, they're selling off some little party things, like mini colour changing rubber ducks that are only 30p for 4, theyve got hundreds in my local sainsburys! looks like they cant get rid of them! You're so very special, I wish I was special :dance:0

If you have a large Wilkinsons nearby they have a whole range of party stuff and cheap too anything from that bubble blowing stuff to streamers and party poppers etc.
Wilkinsons also have a website too I think0 -
The works sell various bits 59p each or 2 for £1 which are suitable for party bags, some of the items they do in the deal have multiple bits in the packs (5 plastic medallions)0

Hope you got sorted, I just had a 6 year olds party on saturday. I just had it at home though as we couldn't afford these play area, activity parties, I was surprised at how little it actually cost including the food, prizes and goody bags. I cheated on the cake and it did look a bit small, but there was enough for everyone in the end.
I got my goody bag bits from the works, poundland and asda. I used clear plastic cups instead of goody bags, I got a pack of 30 from poundland and only needed about 12. With the bits I put in each one, they worked out at about 60p each or thereabouts, well under £1 each.
I made labels for the cups with their names on and put them in cellophane bags tied with curling ribbon.
Obviously if you're giving them out to the whole class that's probably a bit too much. I got 2 packs of bubbles in the works, 2 for £2 x 16 bottles, so have a few spares. Some had leaked a bit, but they dried out. I didn't put many toy bits in, but more sweets and chocolate. I had small notepads and a few pencils, then their cake.
I noticed that asda had on their girly hair stands some party bag items, stickers/rings/ etc, usually in packs of 8. Not sure if they ahd any boy bits anywhere similar.0 -
Was going to suggest Wilkinsons too.
Or, things I have done in the past:
Multipacks of rubbers or pencils (Wilkinsons, The Works, Poundland)
For girls: a pack of hair scrunchies from Primark, you can put several in each bag. For boys pack of mini bouncy balls or a tub of platic dinosaurs that you can split.
Buy a pack of stickers (The Works, Poundland, Woolies) which you can cut up into a mini sheet/strip for each bag.
Lollies from Asda or Poundland too.0 -
i got the colour changing ducks from sainsbury's and for my dd's party bags and they are fab.
i also went to primark and manged to get a little dog purse for the girls and a baseball hat with sun glasses for the boys for only 50p each!
i was fed up with dd always getting crayons and plastic toys, most of which ends up in the bin.0 -

Packs of play-doh or woolworths copy, they do multipacks of it cheaply to split up.
Bubbles go down well, as do KitKats, balloons, pencils etc.
Have a great party.A minute at the till, a lifetime on the bill.
Nothing tastes as good as being slim feels.
one life, live it!0
