We have endless problems with our bill from not receieving then at all to getting very high bills
someone from E-on came around to ask us to switch which will do eventually, he discovered that our house and 3 others near us are all paying each others?
How you ask, well the numbers on the bill do match the numbers on the box outside,
so for ages we have had threats to cut us off , take us to court etc, we want to pay but we want to pay the right one.
The last letter was very upsetting and to hear that someone will come around and cut us off when its freezing (i can wrap up) My son is not yet one.
My hubby called them again ,and this time we received a letter saying how very sorry they are and they are dealing with our account, we should not receive any more demanding letters and it will be delt with by a senior member.
Its been going on for a year or so....
British Gas still suck and the sooner its sorted the sooner we can move to E-on

Sadly this is the reality of the energy companies, however the grass is definately not greener in most cases as they tend to be as bad as one another. Good luck btw.Please support my thanks button if I have been of any help

The numbers (MPAN's) on the meters are not to be trusted. Developers change their plans which means the MPAN's get switched.
You need to match up the meter number with the address really. MPAN's can be moved around if it's the easiest way to correct a crossed meter problem.
If you mean your fuseboxes are connected the wrong meters or due to a labelling issue, thats the fault of the developer and the Supplier would only find out if you did.:rotfl: It's better to live 1 year as a tiger than a lifetime as a worm...but then, whoever heard of a wormskin rug!!!:rotfl:0 -
The meter serial number will be on your bills and on the meter near a barcode. Check these match.
Interesting that this all came about from someone trying to get commission from you switching.
ONce you give them all the right information it's realtively easy to fix, but gets more difficult the more suppliers are involved.0
