Update - 5th FebruaryIn a way this has become fun. We said to ourselves on day 1 that ethicaljuicers would be about people more than product. In 1 weekend a years worth of people strolled through our site. Thank you.
So now that we've telephoned every ethically minded toiletry company in the land, we're moving on to to organic & natural teas and chewy bars. In fact anything we can think of - we think you deserve it.
Give us time....but who knows what will turn up in the post!
We'd also like to thank all the people who have emailed us with their sympathies, apologies, suggestions and congratulations. It seems this whole experience is generating a lot of emotion.

At ethicaljuicers offices it's generating a lot of creativity - so more of the congratulations please :-)
Many thanks for your patience, support and kind words.

This too is further up the same page.Really nice people.MaybeAs we are speaking to lots of companies to get free gifts, it may end up that we do have lots to give away. If you like you can submit your details by adding a "Free gift" to our shopping cart using the button below. You won't be charged ANYTHING or asked for any payment details.
If we can, we'll send you a pressie. Fingers crossed!"Reaching out to touch the stars dont forget the flowers at your feet".0 -
Have they emailed you all with an order cancellation though? I really hope they have, else some of the more unscrupulous freebie hunters might demand it after 28 days, which legally they are entitled to do. If they have'nt can somebody email them and tell them too, as it is a legal requirement once an order confirmation is recieved.Did you know you can get Viagra software now??? Yeah, it turns your floppy drive into a hard drive0

Not had a cancellation e-mail yet,I guess thay are too busy looking for alternative freebies.I am sure they will get round to it before the deadline though.I think they may be watching the thread so you will have reminded them to get a move on.
To be honest though,I really feel that with the way they have handled this so nicely and with showing themselves to be going out of their way to get us some sort of freebie, very few people would push it."Reaching out to touch the stars dont forget the flowers at your feet".0 -
I originally placed my order on 2nd Feb, havent had a cancellation email either.
Just put in order for the free gift, and have had a confirmation order for that too.0 -
I agree with shelovestobuystuff, it's about time we gave these nice people time to get their breath! I don't think I shall hold out much hope for the freebie as it was only for their subscribers, though I have, through this, become one and may well buy something from them in the future.
They seem really, really nice people - and they do appreciate that although a lot of people [most of us!] are there for the freebies and may never darken their e-doorstep again, they've had more traffic in one weekend than in a year! So, freebies really are the way to raise your profile - but only if you can afford to work on a 4% return on the outlay.... sounds tricky.
I wonder if they meant for us, who have asked for the freebie already, to go and register again as they've wiped the lot off, or if they're offering to those who didn't? I don't want to be greedy - thoughI'm feeling it already
:o now I know the circumstances.

The way I read their update is that they are allowing more people to register their interest for a freebie, seeing as they are working to get loads of stuff maybe they might get some extra.
This was the email I got
It’s all been good fun so far (especially seeing eyes pop out of heads here at HQ). Rather then start with 20000 things to give away we’re doing it upside down and finding the giveaways for all these people!
Thank you for your feedback – the adventure continues
If they hope to get 20,000 freebies they would have more left after the initial 12000 applicants.
I dont think we are should expect to get the gift as really the original email was sent to the OP who in turn shared it with us without permission. So I will be grateful if I actually get anything. I dont think they are planning on not bothering but it will take them time to find, receive and forward stuff. Be patient

There was a problem due to over demandUpdate - 11th FebruaryDue to the enormity of the response for this offer we did not, have not, and will not process any credit cards. If you paid by PayPal we are choosing to honour your orders first, as PayPal have locked our account for 180 days whilst they investigate us as the burst of activity was seen as 'highly suspicious'.0
