I went back and bought sprouting seeds at £5.99, less £5 plus £2 delivery, for £2.99 I get sprouting seeds and organic shampoo set, bargain even if not free (I sprout seeds anyway, so it is a good buy for me!).
CaterinaFinally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).0 -
Legally its water tight, even if you paid the £2 postage you'll only get them if you are a previous customer according to their terms. They had all the correct info they needed, i.e. While stocks last, orders can be cancelled at any time.
HOWEVER....since they sent out order confirmations, they do need to email or post a cancellation to everyone within 28 days else you are legally entitled to the product or a full refund, which would only be for the £2 as the product is free but the free delivery was a voucher code that you had to use, thus entitling you to claim it back.
Bad business though being so snotty about it on their t&c'sDid you know you can get Viagra software now??? Yeah, it turns your floppy drive into a hard drive0 -
Company have updated info again it sounds like we might get something to try
I wanted some cream from them but could not find it on their website

Update - 4th FebruaryUnfortunately we have had to close this offer. We are truly sorry to do this and offer the following explanation. We hope you will understand.
We sent an email out on 2nd February to our modest mailing list offering the free bodycare kit. We had a few hundred or so and we no longer sold them so felt content to give them away to our subscribers. Our maths seemed reasonable given the size of our mailing list and the %age response you'd expect.
Monday morning we discover more orders then there are subscribers to our list? In fact there are over 12,000. As it turns out our generosity was posted on (at least) 5 'freebie' websites.
From comments on these websites there is a concern that we might not honour these orders. Given that they each would cost £2.38 to post the postage alone would cost us £28560!
However, it is our true desire to give something to as many people as possible - it's what we're about. Read more on our charities page.
So as well as doing our normal Monday work we've been on the phone this morning, first to Health Quest, makers of Organic Blue. They currently have no stock due to reformulating the product! However, they have kindly offered free sample bottles to us which we intend to forward on to you.
However, they didn't offer 12000 bottles and we'd like to give you MORE. So we're currently on the phone to suppliers of similar products, i.e. ethical/eco/natural/organic toiletries - people like Lavera, Faith in Nature, Green People, Purely Skincare, Urtekram, Yaoh, Weleda, Earth Friendly Kids, Bio Etic and more.
This is interesting for us, because we don't sell or intend to sell any of these products, so we are doing these nice friendly companies a big marketing favour.
One final note - we will not never ever ever share you information with other companies. Neither will we email you three time a week. Promise.0 -
What about if you paid the £2 postage?
12000 applicants, thats incredible :rotfl: What a nice company though to be bothering with trying to get something out to all. :T0 -
The final count after the offer was closed is 12311.
Less then 1% of these orders are from people we emailed.

Indeed to have put out this message they have been very polite and honest and it will do there business the world of good.
As I have said many samples I have got ,I have then went on to buy from the company:DJust back into comping past few months to help me get over rubbish in life.... won Hotpoint fridge freezer, soda stream0 -
Wow,over 12,000 responses in what?2 days or less. That is powerfull advertising!!!Now if I had a business(and I do)I would be thinking about what sort of freebie offer I could let people here find out about;) .
I wonder what sort of % of people who take up these freebie offers look at the rest of the goods available for sale and actually order something else at some stage.
They have also just increased their customer database by an amazing amount. This can't be all bad for them."Reaching out to touch the stars dont forget the flowers at your feet".0 -
