here are some suggestions:
Holiday Inn Express summer offer rooms with breakfast from £39
More offers Holiday Inn Express from £39.00 per room per night with Breakfast.
code is hiexpress.co.uk/summer
Different rates depending on where you stay
Valid for stays from 02/07/05 04/09/05
Hope this helps someone0 -
Also Holiday Inn i think it is sale that you add to the end of the web address, also there are some premiertravelinns which is premiertravelinn.co.uk

The problem with Holiday Inn in Newcastle is ....that it is not in Newcastle but in Woolsington the vast suburb and there are no real quick connections via public transport to the centre.
Premier Lodge/Travel Lodge has a hotel right on the quay side, where the action is but again it depends where the family lives.
Otherwise you can stay on the coast in B&B. Try Whitley Bay, Cullercoats or Tynemouth. All 3 spots will get you to the centre of Newcastle in 20mn using the Metro system.0 -
Holiday Inn in Newcastle is the one on New Bridge Street next to the Laing Gallery which is in the centre of Toon.
There isn't a Holiday Inn at Woolsingston and even if there was there's the little thing called the "Metro" which runs from the airport into Toon.
Perhaps you are thinking of the one at Seaton Burn
There's a Premier Lodge on the Newcastle Quaysode
Also look at hotels in Gateshead - there's a Hilton right by the Tyne Bridge0 -
Thanks for all you suggestions I shall have a look later on.
Many thanks

Cheapest place is Formula 1 near Kingtown Park (convenient for a Metro) but also there is a Novotel nearby but a little bit more. In town you should be able to negotiate a good deal at Quality Inn - should get a room for £50 if you ask. Try https://www.laterooms.co.uk

Kingston Park - it's about half a mile (all downhill) to the Metro and there's a lot of shopping to be done there0

Forgot about Holiday Inn Town centre near the Lain Art Gallery.....sorry.0
