Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker I've been Money Tipped!
Mac I agree with you it is odd to say the least that most have 1 or just a few postings. By the way I didn't get a letter but just thought I'd have a read through the posts.
There's no place like home :)

Feeling down? Weak in body? Makes no difference to me, I think of you all when I'm sitting quietly.

Hugs and healing thoughts are always going your way.

Hmmmmmm, thanks everyone for posting your experiences. My hubby got one of these 'You've won a prize worth £3750' letter today. I googled them, saw 'Clubseasons' and thought uh oh timeshare!

I then came on here to see what it was all about and am glad that I did. We certainly won't be falling for their scams - both a bit too sharp to anyway ;)

Makes me wonder if the 'positive' posters actually work for the company????
  • I received a similar letter yesterday evening after entering a few online questionnaires. I called them up to ask for a few details, and they responded in emailing me some information. They also said I have to pay the "maintenance fee" to activate my membership.

The whole thing does look very fishy to me and I'm not going to take it up.
  • I don't work for Seasons; if I did I wouldn't be telling you how I got free holidays then got my money back.........
Incidentally I've just received another call from a different company telling me I've won £599 to spend on a holiday with a company called Lifestyle Europe. They want me to come and pick up the cheque and confirm my identification in Sale next month.
Has anyone heard of this company? Can't find much on Google to be honest.

Oh and lastly, my partner and I went to Laugharne Park in July with Seasons for our freebie.
    It was bloody awful.
    I got a full refund.
  • I just joined seasons holidays not sure what all the fuss is about.
Its similar to a time share and although you have a small fee its still good value overall.
Nothing over special depends on what you like i guess but its not like your tied into any contracts and this is an well established company.
Apparently they waive the following years fees completely if you attend an induction which sounds great.
The first year at 260 for a couple for a weeks holiday is a good deal if people are honest with themselves.
The fact you can have this money back if you don't like your holiday is peace of mind really.
Felt i had to write this because of all the negative comments not sure why they were even left myself.
    Anyways have fun.
    Laters.

not a scam as such but it is a hard sell.the prize that you have won is a green week timeshare excluding maintanance charges but they would like you to upgrade which does cost money,so if you fancy a timeshare then give it a go if not bin it.

eh? this thread and that question is from 2008!!
  • I just came back from their Clowance estate in cornwall after receiving the WON a HOLIDAY worth £3,750 letter. I must say I didnt experience anything like the other people in this thread. My accommodation was lovely, clean, well kept and the estate itself was amazing. We even had a sauna in our lodge. We were greeted and given a welcome pack and asked to go to a meeting which we did. It was clearly explained to us that our free stay was a marketing tool to explain how the holidays worked and give us a chance to try before we buy. Infact the £3,750 was also used as a discount to us joining the system which we thought was amazing. They have 9 resorts and a hotel and we can also exchange our week through 90 affiliates for a charge of only £20. This holiday system isnt for everyone as not everyone wants or can afford luxury holidays which these clearly are. I never read or reply to anything on the internet but wanted to google Seasons when i came back, as no money was taken on site and we have a 14 day cooling off period. Far from being scammed we have joined a system where we now have fractional ownership. Its a wonderful product and at no time where we misled in anyway. I think there are always people who expect something for nothing and then complain when they dont get their freebee. My husband and I however are now members of a holiday system which is unsurpassable. How many other people on here will ever get a return on their holiday money?

  • This is NOT a scam, just a great holiday Company. we have just bought into the fractional holiday scheme and are enjoying luxury holidays with no fees per annum. we have been to Laugherne, Bude, Clowance twice and all with no maintenance charge. plus I have just booked my son and daughter in law into Forest Hills near Malaga Spain for a week and costing £59.00 in 5 star luxury apartments. we still have 1 red, or 2 green or 3 yellow to use plus a free mid week break plus paid mid week breaks from £40 for 4 nights in a luxury apartment. this is far from a scam. This is a great Company with a great holiday concept and no I am not an employee just a very satisfied customer who sees value and exceptional luxury holidays.:j
