I also buy a 3-pack/4-pack of the cheapest tea towels I can find to take with me. (Even though we don't really cook much on holiday we still have glasses and cups to dry up). As I use each teatowel I throw them away so that I don't have them to bring back and wash.
Last year, as some of my teatowels at home were getting tatty, I bought myself some nice new ones and took the old tatty ones on holiday to use and get rid of instead!0 -
I have decanted some boots basics shampoo into a shower gel bottle so that the shampoo is not stuck on the side of the bath. The rest which owould not fit was left in the original white bottle on which I just removed the lable. The best bargains are priceless!!!!!!!!!! :T :T :T0

I decant shampoo, conditioner etc., into specimen bottles for holidays...guaranteed not to leak for obvious reasons. I get them from work, but you could ask your surgery nicely for a couple of bottles, they probably won't ask why you want them0

Yes, haemorrhoid cream is now part of my travel kit for that very reason!0 -
beachbeth wrote:I noticed in Superdrug that they are selling little empty, plastic travel bottles for £1.99 - to put creams or lotions in when going on holidays. However, these bottles are quite small so I dont think anything you put in them would last a 2 week holiday.
However, I prefer to buy the right sized bottle I like with something already in it, such as fairy liquid. I use empty fairy liquid bottles to take washing liquid and other cleaning products I might use on holiday.
I saw today that Superdrug sell shampoo and conditioner (like a no frills product), each in a really handy 500ml bottle for only 25p!!! So Ive bought both shampoo and conditioner which I will try to see if its any good. But Ive mainly bought them so that I can take Ariel Rapide (I don't want to take a normal full bottle of ariel) and also some lenor in which to soak my bikinis and beach towels on holiday.
A little off topic but I don't think you're meant to use softener on swimwear.I've been lucky, I'll be lucky again. ~ Bette Davis0 -
I try and save up the shampoo etc freebies from magazines or that I send away for - you know the sachets, and take them on hols - less space in the case - more room for something else!
Otherwise, I just buy the cheapy stuff for hols, I'm not too fussy when it comes to that sort of thing!- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Hiya,
I buy the cheapie stuff or take samples... re the throwing away old/tatty tea towels - I did that with sockslast time we had a wee break... OH thought I had started to leave a calling card
Also, if you hadn't liked the conditioner I was going to suggest that, rather than throw it out, you could use it for shaving legs... until I realised that this thread was over a year old

OP
Is it superdrugs "white" for normal hair with aloe vera? with green lid & green bubbles on the bottle.
I use that all the time and its really gorgeous on my hair & doesnt have a horrid girly smell so OH uses it too no probs ) Sometimes its bogof at 85p, in fact theres always some offer on it- highly recommended:beer: Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -
what do people think about cheap shampoo and conditioner? my hairs in a not very good state at the minute but thats prob due to stress and eating the wrong things but maybe using cheapo shampoos doesnt help? I dont know really. I am trying to balance it by using giant economy bottles of cheapo shampoo and some decent conditioner afterwards but I dont know if this is the right thing to do or not. Any hairdressers or trichologists out there?0
