I don't even own a mobile! Our total quarterly phone bill is £16! Thats our home phone and none of us owns a mobile!

I agree but he has a contract phone which does include 200 txts a month!
I do the moneysaving and try to encourage DD and DH to join in but it doesn't work very well.
Once I asked him to get me some Daily Mails when it had a book voucher in he said how many I said 4 knowing he would never buy 10 lol,he went to 4 different shops and bought 1 paper in each!!:rotfl:

Anyhow, was just saying that although my mum DOES say I have a calculater for a brain when it comes to cash, the main reason we dont own mobiles is because we totally disagree with the masts. And as mobile phones will not work without the masts we would be hypocrites to own one. These people demonstrating against masts make me laugh. How many of them own mobiles?? Its always a case of "Not in my back yard" They dont mind havingn a phone, as long as the masts are near someone else's house!
Mobile phones are my pet hate. Well, them and motorists who sit in their stationary cars while the engine is running. Doubt they even think of all the pollution they're churning out for their own kids to breathe in!

Sorry, I'll shut up before I get on my highhorse!! But anyway, money aside, I don;t need a mobile. Done without one 45 yrs, dont see why I need one now lol

btw dld, wasn't having a go at you, or anyone. Just my personal thoughts. OnceI start thinking about these things I see red LOL. I just worry about all the rubbish my kids are breathing in day in, day out.

I totally agree with you.If only we lived in a pollution free world.Two years ago we went to Minorca on holiday whilst driving along the road noticed that every house had its own wind turbine and solar panels.In that case why in this country is it so expensive to do the same?Off topic of mobile phones I know but same area!!I'd love to be self sufficient in food,electric etc.
Me and DD want to keep chickens and a pig but DH won't let us(don't think the neighbours would be too chuffed either)

I'd LOVE to live on a farm. (Had a pony for 18yrs and was a vet nurse for yrs and I love the outdoors) but I would never be able to eat or kill or sell any of the animals pmsl. Id end up with a massive feed bill for thousands of animals :rotfl:

I agree; this country is cr**. Our local council say they'll be fining people who put rubbish in the wrong bin, yet all their vehicles including taxis NEVER switch their flippin engines off!
