Hi
I used to have a Conran CC. When they ditched the cashback and I was sent an MBNA replacement I just shoved it in the draw and never used it again and forgot about it. But... yesterday I got a letter saying my MBNA card is now 0% on purchase until August 2008! Yay, more stoozing money
:T
So if you had a Conran card and haven't used it's replacement, you might have a nice surprise on the way

Hmmm, a couple of caveats here. What is the interest rate after August? Usuriously high if my experience of MBNA is anything to go by. Also, don't forget that if you continue using the card after August then any repayments will pay off the interest free debt before the debt with interest so you could end up being stuffed that way. You should only use this deal if you know you can completely pay off the outstanding balance by August.
0% deals are good but you have to (a) pay off the debt by the end of the interest-free period and (b) not use the card for anything else which might attract interest.0 -

I thought the title was actually sarcasm.
I too had a conran card which went in a draw once they switched to doing no cashback.
My most recent letter from MBNA has upped all of the interest rates I'll pay, and increased the minimum payment to £10
Why do I feel like they're trying to get rid of me :rotfl:
I was thinking of closing the account, but after this latest letter, I think I'll keep it open, and cost them some money!0 -
I had two letters this week from MBNA regarding Payment Protection on two accounts, i knew that I had one a/c, so rang up. It appears that I have a card in 2004 "Womens Card", and the letter was for this a./c was for this. It also appears that this cc had a credit of GBP 9.62, which they refunded directly to my bank a/c, I asked if any interest applicable they said no, i'm off to try to find "Womens Card", and see if I've had credit card fees, if so, i can see another letter of to MBNA.
Both a/cs now are clear, so hopefully no more letters
Can I claim interest on the credit on my account for 3 years ? any help will be greatNo. 83 in £365.00 in 365 days 17/365
