Moneysupermaket...overpriced for life insurance?

hi there
I got a quote from moneysupermarket with regard to life insurance and they quoted double the rate of what i got through from my financial adviser 2 years ago. Is this normal? back then I did not a child. has this got any influence maybe?

It must do, the insurance schemes are funny calculations.

Do you have to tell your current provider of the fact you have a child??

They may bump up the premium as I assume its annually reviewable.

Childbirth has no impact on life cover quotes. Only if it was a complicated birth, would further underwriting be required which could lead to an increased premium.

Life cover prices 2 years ago hit a low. Since then they have increased although there has been a small decrease with some major providers in recent months. Critical illness cover is not as good as policies from 2 years ago as well (on guaranteed plans anyway).
