London Weekend

Hi can you help I really want to go to London and see the Lion King for my birthday.I am looking at the weekend 23rd July and staying the night but I wondered if the hotel for the night and the Lion King tickets would be cheaper if I went on the Sunday or Monday. I don't mind staying outside London and getting the tube in for the day.
Can anyone give me some ideas as to the cheapest way I can do this
Thanks

Not sure it it is outside what you want to do, but I noticed in the newspaper (Daily Mail, I think) over the weekend, that Thistle Hotels are doing 3 nights for the price of 1. They have plenty of hotels in London so could be worth looking at. Ramada are doing a similar deal on the Daily Mail web site. If you were staying 3 days you could always try the Leicester Square ticket booth for cheap tickets to any of the London shows.

    Novotel/Accor usually have offers.
Or Holiday Inn. All good for an overnight stay.

https://www.laterooms.com might have something for last minute.

Have a nice weekend and Happy birthday!

Paulie558 already mentioned lastminute.com, but just to let you know they do "theatre packages" - booking the whole weekend (hotel, theatre and often dinner).

Edit : (Actually, just checked and Lion King tickets arent offered there, sorry.) For ticket sales, I'd recommend ticketmaster.co.uk. Also, those Thistle hotel weekend deals can be quite good value - I liked the Selfridge hotel which is right in behind Selfridges department store on Oxford street (great for shopping)...

    https://www.londontown.com for good central hotels.

https://www.visitlondon.co.uk also have some good offers.

The best days for cheap tickets at the LSq half price booth is Tues, Wed & Thur.

Less than £50 for central london is a steal and they go very quick. Expect to pay between £60 & £70.

On the londontown web site you can get the Selfridge Hotel, Oxford St for about £70. Central location good price.

Remember The Lion King is one of the most popular shows and I have never seen it offered at a discount when I have been in London.
