oh and I would also make an appointment to SEE your MP at his surgery and ask him face to face EXACTLY why he would not like to deal with you any longer. He is a public servant and is working for US and that includes YOU so he cannot refuse - otherwise you have grounds to make a complaint, although I am not sure who to!0

Just a quick Hello to you.:hello::hello:0

I cannot believe that your MP will not deal with you. That is shocking.0

One of the reasons this MP asked me not to bother him again was because he does not agree with parents having the right to home educate their children. When I initially wrote to him and explained that after five years of home educating I was finding it increasingly difficult to finance it due to the rising cost of living he advised me to place my child back in school with out even asking me why I had removed her from the school environment in the first place!
When I told him that the local school had informed me that they would not be able to cope with a child who had not been following the National Carriculum he contacted them to insist that they had to regardless !!!0 -

My partner is a NRP and the CSA has caused us no amount of headaches.
When he was first reviewed for payments he had a busy month at work and took home double what he would usually do. So they assessed him at paying £605 a month. This crippled us as he was still also paying the morgage for the house which is ex no longer lived in ( long story ) and lots of other debts from the split in their relationship.
So, to be able to live, and pay everything I began to subsidise his basic money just to allow him to pay it all. It didn't really help, because what he should have done is fought the decision.
However, this is where it gets messy. My hubbies ex found out how much he was paying, and was 'appalled' that the goverment were taking all of this and only awarding her £10. So, she then put the thumb screws on and said that she deserved 'more' from him and said that if he didn't give her £150 a month then she would stop the kids seeing him.
We clearly couldn't do the above, and just had to stomach 8 weeks without seeing the children.
At this point my husband moved jobs, and they couldn't claim on the doe they had put in place. With the new job we got a standing order set up, which has worked out better for us, and he is now only paying ( only I say) £295 a month. This has worked better for us as we feel more in control, and they can't just take what they want.
Even though we were paying regularly through the right channels, the money wasn't coming out the other end, and we had another period of 6 weeks without seeing the children because it was deemed to be our fault. It was also met with demands of more cash, and wants.
But it gets sticky again, and 12 months ago the childrens ma gave up work again and started claiming IS and decided the £10 a month from the CSA wasn't enough. Again we have stayed strong and not paid anything in cash, although it is very tempting when the kids are running around in old clothes and haven't had their hairs cut in ages.
Now, it would be easy to give in and just go and buy whatever they needed, but it is such a difficult situation. Also, there is plenty of money in the budget for a weekend away to Barcelona for her and her new partner ( he is also claiming as he doesn't work). Whilst I don't resent her having a holiday, it makes me realise that we shouldn't just throw money at the situation.
For our part, CSA really put pressure on our relationship. If I hadn't been there to support my OH then he would have almost certainly gone bankrupt and I don't know how he would have coped with this. Even now knowing the CSA reassessment is due next month sends chills through us. But, its better than having to provide money directly because if we did that we wouldn't have any evidence and then could end up in an almighty pickle.0 -

Well, he is right in a way - the school does indeed have to cope with your child, but that doesn't mean that you have to send your child to school in the first place!!! The choice is yours - but if you do decide that you can't afford it a school is legally obliged to take your child.
Whether your MP agrees with the law is IRRELEVANT. It IS your choice, and he cannot judge you or refuse to help you!!! You need to remind him of that!!!!!!!!!0 -
Lady s,
Reading your post is some what exactly the same having to put up with a money grabbbing EX, what thinks of herself and NOT the children.
Hubby rung his kids this friday, he was told dad we want to stay at yours but mummy wont let us! Its the kids who will lose out in the end.0
