Have i been scammed??

Little concerned now whether i have been scammed in some way

paid for two items from one seller totalling just over £40 but when i clicked to pay it said the payment coundlt be completed then returned me to ebay, so i thought nothing of it and tried again

the second time it went through but when i check my paypal balance of £30 ish pund has gone and also about £50 from my card linked to paypal

it is showing up on paypal history i have paid it twice but ive only recieved one email

have emailed the seller but no reply yet.

any ideas

thanks in advance

If you total up the amounts you'll probably find it comes to double the amount you originally owed. Sounds like you've paid twice.

Give the seller a chance to sort it out. Too soon to worry imo.

Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j

    little update

got in touch with the seller via phone after trying all day being told they were busy and said to email and he would pass onto finance department who will the refund

however since read feedback and not great comminicators they have over 11000 feedback

now i think could be a bit of time to get money back so wanted to claim, but is it an unautherised transaction or shall i file an item not as described etc

    which is the best way

    thanks

anyone any idea what i should do, thanks in advance

if i claim unaturised transaction then i can prove to paypal i have bought the exact same items twice, surely that is enough proof, just worried they will think im claiming someone has used my account without me autherising it

yea i thought that but just not sure whether to start a dispute just to make sure i get the money back as cant really do without it lol
  • give them a chance, with that much feedback i dont think they will scam you, but if they dont refund you couldnt you do an item not received dispute as you have paid for 2 items but only received one.
