Egg Policy Change ?

I just hope that it is a massive own goal by Egg. It seems that their definition of a 'high risk customer' is one where there is a high risk of making no money! Those with good credit can get another card elsewhere, those with balances can probably get a loan elsewhere at decent rates, and no doubt those affected will move any other products away from Egg.
If this logic spreads throughout the Banking system, all of you who run your current accounts well had better watch out - You will all be closed, so that they can concentrate on the badly run accounts, where they make a real profit!
As for that obnoxious bint from the Bankers Association, she should be Eggs-terminated!0 -
I just want to clarify a few points:-
- My cancelled account is Egg Money
- Similar balance to Egg credit card but that has NOT been cancelled
- Egg make A LOT of money from me – I do NOT pay my balance off every month – I use credit for what I do for a living
- I have NEVER missed a payment or gone over my limit on this or any other card
- I have a prefect credit score with all 3 companies
- I could not give a stuff about staying with Egg but I do object to being called a risky customer to the press
I logged in tonight and there was errors all over my accounts. Balances wouldn’t show, there were red warnings and errors everywhere. I have NEVER seen that in all the years I have been with them. I think there is something seriously up with this company. I am glad my savings are elsewhere but if you have money with Egg I would be taking it elsewhere.
BTW, if Egg want to sue me for defamation of character or libel I will see them in the court first! (I have print outs of the screen for proof just in case!)

Blimey - eight minutes to respond - are Egg watching this forum or what!!!???
Whatever you say I would be taking my money away sharpish!0 -
I do think some of you need to calm down, at the end of the day Egg will be the losers in this, the media are hyping this up again, yes I know what Egg are saying is incorrect, my neighbour got the letter too and she has a £6 credit balance, never missed a payment etc, but as she said she will simply find another company, don't waste your time and find someone else who does want your business...life is too short."Wisdom doesn't automatically come with old age. That message is displayed when you log into the account online.
They're doing some 'maintenance' on the systems. They have to come offline every so often and Saturday nights / Sunday mornings are when it affects the least number of customers.
They did the same thing a few weeks ago, it was expected to be off then for approx 12 hours but they got everything finished well before then so it was all back up and running early.0 -

The situation with Northern Rock was OTT IMHO but it didn't stop thousands withdrawing all their cash!0 -
