Sent so many emails...I should read who the replies are from more carefully...It's from Radio 4's PM programme rather than Money Box - doh

In that case I probably won't hear you as it clashes with the rugby...
  • If i've never missed a payment on my egg card, pay in full by DD and pay the full balance.... how do they know my credit risk has increased?

They haven't looked at my credit file as i've just checked.

I realise these are frustrating times, but you still have to try and think clearly.

Moving money on a Saturday has cost you two days lost interest, ie, you've paid them to shift your money out!

Maybe the "risky" customers should sue Egg for defamation of character!?
  • Have spoken to R4's PM programme, they're waiting to hear outcome of MoneyBox in 10 mins time. Then this afternoon PM will be interviewing me for the PM programme later today!

Can't wait to hear what MoneyBox has to say!

I have listened to a lot of different radio stations and they are all mis reporting this situation. The latest I heard on SmoothFM interviewed some woman from the BBA who said this was a good thing and showed responsible lending?

How can taking the cards away from responsible users who have not missed payments or exceeded their credit limits be responsible lending?

I have not had the letter but I think I will close my account in protest of their incompetence and treatment of others

Don't be too hasty about closing an account. When is the cash back paid out?

I have just rang Egg card and they confirm my facilities will not be withdrawn. For the record my money card is £1,500 and cc £6,000.

As mentioned in my previous post I think I will find it hard to get another Credit Card now because of my situation but I really don't want to pay Egg any interest on my outstanding debt with them and I'm sure other customers they've insulted won't either.

I am getting sick of being told by the press/media I am a bad debter:-(
I have complained to the BBC through another thread in this forum and I have now also asked the Ombudsman to investigate and hopefully get the truth out there!

If we were all such 'High risk' and 'Bad debters' then surely this would be shown and notified to the credit agencies which it is not?! Less than 1 hour after getting off the phone from EGG I contacted Barclaycard and was accepted for their Simplicity Card (8.8%).....so amybe a good thing they got rid of me - is this a silver lining in disguise?
Still very upset about the lies that Citigroup can spread without anyone checking the facts - clause 20.2 is a joke and not a very funny one
