Health Insurance - while travelling abroad

I am going travelling abroad for a year, to countries outside the EU. I'd like to take out some health insurance incase I have an accident of some sort and need to go into hospital, or see a doctor urgently. I guess I can't use my EU health card thing (the new card that replaced the E111 form) as I won't be travelling in the EU. I don't want to be hit with big bills if I fall ill, and would like the option to find a private doctor if needed rather than having to wait potentially a long time to be treated by another country's version of the NHS.

Does anyone know of any cover that will pay for healthcare if I am taking a year out to travel outside of the EU?

Thanks so much for any replies or recommendations.
