Ok with help of that Excel file again I've done a search for the architect NOT honoured with an award and none of them actually won upto 2004 supposedly
BTW - Totally agree Ice Truckers rock!!!
The correct answer for
Name the architect commemorated by the Housing Corporation's Special Award for Affordable Housing?
Richard Feilden (It's now known as the Richard Feilden Award for Affordable Housing)“We are not interested in the fact that the brain has the consistency of cold porridge.” - Alan Turing (1912-1954)0 -
A recap thus far... seems we need to chip away at this comp - ugh! lol
Q1: Which legendary politician introduced the awards?*
A: Aneurin Bevan (Thanx, angeldawn62)
Q2: Which PM suspended the awards arguing that quantity was more important than quality?*
A: Harold Macmillan (Thanx, rrickyuk)
Q3: Which three of the following are the most decorated practices with not less than 17 awards?* (tick three answers)
Frederick Gibberd
Darbourn & Darke
Eric Lyons
Broadway Malyan
Chamberlin Powell & Bon
Johston & Wright
A: not yet answered
Q4: One of these four honoured architects has not been honoured with a Housing Design Award: Was it?*
A: working on it!
MacCormac - seems they won Housing Design Award in 2005
Grimshaw - don't seem to do housing....
Farrell gained 2 Department of the Environment Housing Awards:
1977 – The Colonnades, Porchester Square
1981 – Warrington, Oakwood 51 SEE
Rogers - ??
Q5: Name the architect who was commemorated by the Housing Corporation's Special Award for Affordable Housing?*
A: Stephenson Bell in 2003 - I'm not 100% sure of this....
Q6: Stephenson Bell has won only one of their 12 awards outside the Manchester area. In which city was the project?*
A's: Leeds (thanx, Lottiegirl)
OR Newcastle upon Tyne (my suggestion)
Q7: Which of the following practices has won the most Housing Design Awards this decade?*
A:
Allies & Morrison = 0 awards
Allford Hall Monaghan Morris = 2 awards
Proctor Matthews = 1 awards
Maccreanor Lavington = 2 awards
Anyone else notice that while the comp says "Correctly answer the following six questions for the chance to win a Macbook Air", there are 7 q's? Woe is me, the falling standards in journalism ;-) or me own pedantry!Still waiting for Dyson to bring out a ride-on hoover...Memberships:

OK Angua2 I'll agree with you on
Question 6
Stephenson Bell has won only one of their 12 awards outside of the Manchester area. In what city was the project?
Newcastle-Upon-Tyne (when in 2002 they won a Project Award for the Quayside redevelopment) also found in the Excel file on post 12
On Q4 though the database lists upto 2004 ONLY a firm called 'Farrell Grimshaw' who maybe later went separate ways? Though they DID NOT WIN on both occasions
Richard Rodgers is only listed in 1989 with the project Thames Reach when they DID NOT WIN
So we're looking for from 2004 to now and boy is it now needing a break again from my focus!! lol
Q3
Frederick Gibberd won 4 and commended on a further 3 - (I've only checked until 2004 so far)
Darbourn & Drake won 4 and commended on further 1 - " "
Eric Lyons won 13 and commended on 7 - " "
Broadway Malyan won 5 - " "
Chamberlin Powell & Bon won 1 commended on further 1 - " "
Johston & Wright won 0 - " "“We are not interested in the fact that the brain has the consistency of cold porridge.” - Alan Turing (1912-1954)0 -
I'll bump this in the hope that someone in the housing industry might be able to help

I do believe it might come down to a complete guess unless we get some extra help. I think I've exhausted every opportunity of info I have to hand.“We are not interested in the fact that the brain has the consistency of cold porridge.” - Alan Turing (1912-1954)0
