De-scale my Iron

Hi
Wanting to de-scale my iron
I do have white vinegar and bicarb in the cupboard
Can I use these to descale it? I need to put it into the iron to clean it out as well as the plate.
Need some points in the right direction here!

works a treat put equal amounts of vinegar and water in steam chamber switch to steam leave on for about 5 mins then let it cool and rinse out0 -
