Health Insurance - good deal?

Hi - I have private health insurance through my company with Norwich Union.
It's £9.50 per week for myself, my wife(smoker) & 3 children aged 5,11 & 13.
Is this a decent deal, or could I do better elsewhere? It would have been free for myself and the youngest 2 children - the £9.50 was for my wife and eldest child.

A lot will depend on what is covered. From your posting we have no idea what you are paying for.
Could you give a brief summary of what you get for the money?

It seems the policy covers a wide field. But the proof of the eating will always be what happens when you want to make a claim. How many hoops will you have to jump through before they agree your claim? Will they rely on small print to exclude claims? All insurance companies (not just Norwich Union) make it sound easy. I suppose you have to decide whether £40 per month = peace of mind and worth it for you.
