sewing machine /sewing lessons

Would any one know where l could get some lessons on improving my bad sewing skills-have a nice sewingmachine in cupboard l would love to use but have trouble keeping seams straight etc!!Within about 20 mile radius of Bridgend please:j

    try your local adult education centres, they usually do courses

    (i only know that the one in servern road adult ed centre does, thats why i suggested it sorry)

    I saw an advert for a local sewing machine shop that did short courses but that was some years ago , might be worth checking with any stores that sell machines...
