I have just obtained a nice NEW coffee maker from work. It has been used twice, its Morphy Richards Cafe Mattino one in chrome. The trouble is, it hasnt been used in over a year, and the last person to use it didn't clean it out so all the damp coffee went all white and mouldy, eeww. I have cleaned it through 4 times now with the water in the same way than if you were making coffee, but it doesnt seem quite clean enough. Would a wash through with white vinegar make a difference do you think? Any advice appreciated.

Almost debt free feeling, priceless.
Ex money nightmare, learnt from my mistakes and never going back there again, in control of my finances for the first time in my adult life and it feels amazing.

I had something similar with my old one that hadn't been used for a while it smelt a bit. I used Milton sterlising fluid (the stuff for babie's bottles) you can get it at most pound shops and of course supermarkets... I ran two solutions through and then plain water and it was fine. Non tainting and really got rid of the smell.
then you can use it periodically to clean it too.....0 -
