Hello,
I have moved into a property that has the extractor fan for the bathroom sitting in the plasterboard in the ceiling at first it I got this replaced, a extractor pipe runs into the roof outside and my question is that the noise from the fan is loud, I wonder what ways to get rid of or cut down the noise?
Thanks in advance!

The fan is never going to be completely silent in operation. Is the noise from the fan prevented from 'escaping' intohe roofspace by loft insulation or something similar?"You were only supposed to blow the bl**dy doors off!!"0

what i did is use the rubber grommets that you fit to a sunk in socket back box

fit these under the ext unit where it is fixed to damp the vibration out.0 -
You can try an inline fan the grill goes in cieling flexible ducting connects to inline fan then from fan ducting goes to exterior vent
