I have been claiming my sons dla on his behalf since he was 4yrs old and he is now 12yrs old. This money has always been put aside for his future to help with rent/transport/living costs etc for when he is an adult. At the moment it is being paid into a Barclays Childrens Savings account with a credit interest rate of 5.75%. He has over £10,000 in his account and I would like advice on whether I should keep it where it is or is there a better (but obviously 100% secure) place to keep it.
