WIN A CHANCE TO BE IN AN UPCOMING MURDER MYSTERY PARTY GAME!
To celebrate the launch of the Murdero card game, D'Avekki Studios are offering one lucky competition winner the chance to play A SPEAKING ROLE in an upcoming Murder Mystery PartyTM game.
This is your chance to act in a film which will be used in the game!
One lucky winner, drawn at random, will arrive on set the morning of a scheduled filming date and be greeted by the film crew and the director. They'll then be whisked away to a private rehearsal room where the director will go through their lines of dialogue with them and help them give their best performance. After that they'll get into costume and make-up before heading for the lights on set. Once their performance is 'in the can' they'll be able to chat with cast and crew before leaving for the day. As soon as the Murder Mystery PartyTM game gets manufactured, they'll receive a copy in the post so they can brag about it to their friends and family! The very same game will then be available to buy from retail outlets all across the UK.
Murder Mystery PartyTM games are manufactured and distributed in the UK by BV Leisure (www.bvleisure.com). Each game contains everything needed to run a murder mystery dinner party for 6-12 players and includes a DVD with four short films relating to the murder mystery.
To enter, read the following short passage and then complete the form below saying who you think is the murderer. If you're not sure 'whodunnit', having a look at cards from the Murdero game is sure to help you decide! Competition closing date is 31st March 2008. Only one entrant per household and you must be 18 or over to take part. Full terms and conditions can be found below.
THE MYSTERY...
<TABLE borderColor=#cc6633 cellSpacing=0 cellPadding=2 width="100%" bgColor=#ffffcc border=1><TBODY><TR><TD>It wasn’t just the smell that made my stomach queasy. Or that I’d been hauled out of bed at 4a.m. to Piper’s Pier. It was the men wading in the short waters that were making me feel sick. I knew they’d found a body, and I knew just how it was going to look when they’d dredged it up.
“Why am I here?” demanded the demure brunette standing next to me.
“Ms Lane” I respond, “I need you to identify the body.”
“But you don’t even know who it is yet.”
“Nope. But I’m pretty sure you will.”
She starts to play nervously with the pearls around her neck. Staring across the pier, her eyes have a hard time avoiding me.
A portly uniform makes his way out of the water nearby. He waves insistently at me, trying to get me to move, but I’m not budging. Frowning, he makes his way over. As he draws nearer, he offers a dripping hand but I decline, instead tipping my hat a little.
“Detective Mulrooney is it?” he questions.
“Yep” I lie. It’s Mulroney, but like this guy would care. I slip out my pack of cigarettes.
“We found a young woman at the bottom. We ain’t got no Piranha’s here, but you’d think it to look at her face.” Whoosh. I light up and take a puff.
“She wearing a nurse's uniform?” I ask, exhaling my lung-junking smoke. His eyes light up.
“How did you know?”
“Just a hunch.”
Ms Lane suddenly bursts into song. “Oh my god, it’s Nurse Marlin isn’t it? You knew it and you brought me here to torture me.” I glance her up and down, throw down my half smoke, and stub it out with my boot heel.
“Looks like you’re coming with me Ms Lane.”
She waves me away protesting. “I was at the Casino all night, I didn’t do anything.”
I grab her wrist and snap at her. “You didn’t need to, she drowned all by herself.”
The uniform shakes his head. “Drown you say? Nah, not drowned. Got a gunshot wound to the head.”
Startled, I release my grip on Ms Lane and spin around. The uniform knows he’s got me on the hook so he starts reeling me in, by walking away.
“Hey, whaddya mean a gunshot wound?”
He waves a hand nonchalantly behind his back as he keeps strolling forwards. “Somebody shot her in the head. We recovered the bullet already. Military issue.”
My head spins, the pier falls away, and I stumble to retain my balance. Military issue? That could only mean one thing. And that could only mean one killer...
