credit card switching / new bank account?

Hi
Please help.
I am a wanting to switch my current debt on credit card to another cc /bank.
Firstly do i need to actually open a new bank account with this new provider or do i keep my existing bank account?
Secondly i never can get hold of experian so i can have my credit report posted to me or if i do get hold of them then i end up sometimes waiting up to an hour without anyone assisting me on the phone as they never seem to answer their lines.
Thirdly if i do keep my existing bank account do i then set up a debit order to pay off the balance that has beeen transferred to the new provider with my existing bankers. (I do prefer a stable relationship but due to unforseen circumstances that have recently come about i can see the need to switch quite soon to avoid getting a bad name / credit rating for the future.
Lastly is there any proper step by step instructions i can download and print for doing all the above but in a concise format or version?
All and any genuine help would be truly appreciated.
Thank you.
Martin
