Broke my glasses before Christmas and coldn't afford to get them repaired at the time. When I finally got around to taking them to opticians told they were irrepairable.
Thought that was the end of that.
On the off chance I phone my insurance company UIA and was told that yes they were covered. You usually have to claim within 2 weeks but they waived that.
Sent them a quote from Vision express and they promptly sent me a cheque, in the meantime I realised i could get a better deal from specsavers, so I phoned UIA and they said i could return the original cheque and they then sent me one for specsaver.
So now two lovely new pairs of glasses.
Thanks UIA.
