I'm getting hitched in May and I'm getting a little panicky too so don't worry :) it's normal!
Have you made a list of everything that needs to be done and bought? I feel better when I look at lists with things done or dates etc next to them :) Might help you too!

  • Hi MirrorImage!

I got a bit like this a couple of weeks ago... panicked, thought b*gger im going to balls this up big time!! So i got together with my BM's and mum and wrote EVERYTHING down that needed doing (colour coded post it notes for each section of the wedding helped too... i.e Blue = Ceremony bits, Green = Reception)... It helped SO much...

Maybe think about doing the same? It helps sometimes to jot it all down!!
One of my BM's has even drawn up a fabulous spreadsheet ensuring we all keep on top of things that need doing, who is doing them, when they have to be done by etc... its a nice planning tool!

As to the nervousness for walking up the aisle... I am the same... i have butterflies thinking about it... Stand up in front of 500 peeps and chat about work stuff? Fine!! Walk up the aisle to the man who has seen me in some compromising postions and im going to be with for the rest of my life? Blubbering wreck!

    You'll be okies lovely!! Promise!

I'm getting married in under 3 months now and feel I should be getting nervous, but nothing yet. I'm pretty laid back about it to be honest which I'm sure will change!!
I couldn't stand the thought of walking down the aisle and opted for close family only during the cermeony and day (strictly brothers and sisters both sides and their family, parents and grandaprents) that way I can be relaxed during the day and concerntrate on photos etc. One huge party for the evening reception!!!! ;)

I also had a small wedding with a very small aisle to avoid this problem. Either that or a veil would do the trick!

I wasn't feeling particularly nervous but reading this thread gave me butterflies lol.

I'm not nervous about walking down the aisle. We're getting married at the church I go to every sunday, walked down that aisle a hundred times (Usually mid service, chasing a wild toddler so used to getting stared at too lol)

I'm a list maker, I have made lists of everything that comes into my head, questions I want to ask, things I need to do, things I need others to do, re-written them, gone over them... Also made a spreadsheet with costs and deposits paid, when balances are due etc...

And in case that doesn't work I have a giant A4 diary and a note-book...

I'll probably start panicking (sp) in about July...
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...

i'm getting nervous about being able to hold it all together whilst walking down the aisle and saying my vows. I seem to be crying at the drop of a hat recently. I'm also terrified that my dad won't be there (he's pretty ill) which i think is making everything that much more emotional. At the moment i'm not worried about the planning - i'm the queen of lists but i'm sure i'll get to that stage as well.
  • Im sure you will be fine. Looks like you have everything under control. I have decided to for a small wedding because I didnt want to have to walk down an aisle in front of hundreds of people. I can so feel your pain.
