I've now got 3 vouchers so i think tomorrow i might go and get some electric toothbrushes for the kids to put away for christmas.
Pleased for you, but annoyed as they woudl not let me do this the other day!!!Like my avatar, took the photo myself with the free digital camera I bought from boots with all my free points! I love moneysaving.0 -
Piced up the BaByliss Trevor Sorbie Session Staightening Irons in Boots today. They are professional pressure grip straightener with wide ceramic coated non-stick plates. Reduced down from £40 to £15 and with my £10 voucher from before made it £5. Also bought some other stuff and ended up with another voucher but no more of these sets left. Pleased with my bargain anyway. If I had known then what I know now . . .

i went to boots counter today producing two braun battery shavers for men which were priced at £11.99..had two £10 pound electrical vouchers...queried if i was entitled to use two electrical vouchers on one item was told no by the assistant..only one voucher per transaction..ok i said so technically i could spend a voucher on each of these shavers in two transactions and pay the 1.99 on each receipt....then change my mind and come in on another occasion and do an exchange for one item worth £23.98 or over...she wasnt happy but reluctantly agreed it was possible....so i said to save the work of doing a refund and exchange why dont you just take £20 of this babyliss £24 mens grooming kit i had in my basket....she went to query it with her supervisor who came over confirming you cant take two vouchers per one item...so repeated what i said previously to the girl to what she too reluctantly agreed it would be possible...but that would be up to me she said...so then i said to save me going to another counter for a refund can she do the whole thing one time....reluctantly she did! this idea wouldnt have come to me if they had anything decent for under £20 to spend the vouchers on!0

No offense mate but that's just abusing the store and their goodwill. Just my opinion but if you think you are justified in doing what you did then good for you.hellofreebies wrote:i went to boots counter today producing two braun battery shavers for men which were priced at £11.99..had two £10 pound electrical vouchers...queried if i was entitled to use two electrical vouchers on one item was told no by the assistant..only one voucher per transaction..ok i said so technically i could spend a voucher on each of these shavers in two transactions and pay the 1.99 on each receipt....then change my mind and come in on another occasion and do an exchange for one item worth £23.98 or over...she wasnt happy but reluctantly agreed it was possible....so i said to save the work of doing a refund and exchange why dont you just take £20 of this babyliss £24 mens grooming kit i had in my basket....she went to query it with her supervisor who came over confirming you cant take two vouchers per one item...so repeated what i said previously to the girl to what she too reluctantly agreed it would be possible...but that would be up to me she said...so then i said to save me going to another counter for a refund can she do the whole thing one time....reluctantly she did! this idea wouldnt have come to me if they had anything decent for under £20 to spend the vouchers on!0 -

i spent two lots of £15 that i may not have spent if these vouchers were not on promotion (these vouchers were not free remember)...The nappies i bought were actually more money then a competitors store... the vouchers have an expiry date....how am i abusing their policy? the item i exchange was still with in the promotion ie.babyliss...if i was abusing the promotion i wouldve exchanged the items for Perfume..make up...sunglasses....etc... I paid an extra 4 pounds either way..so financially boots is not out of pocket...like i said if boots had decent stock to utilize the coupons without spending another twenty pounds then this idea would've not occurred to me.... should i of binned the vouchers and get annoyed with myself and boots that I was gullible to yet another offer that turns out useless (unless you spend another £15-20) and never shop there again...end of the day everybody wins and boots get to keep my much needed custom! btw a lot of the electrical beauty stuff they have is half price ie. argos..so they are actually making you think you got great price with £10 of when actually if you wouldve shopped around you would have got the item for the same price if not cheaper...smart marketing or what!! so unless you have an item thats under £15 (so you get it for a fiver) there is no big deal being offerred!0 -
I have bought a camera from Boots before and had it price matched with an identical one form Jessops - I just had to bring the Jessops leaflet and ask a manager.
So logically if Argos was selling an identical item in their sale, to one of the items eligible for the £10 voucher they should price match it. Might be worth trying perhaps?

does anyone recommend a philishave shaver i should get with my £10 off voucher??0

I have the date of August 2nd in my mind.. It's either the vouchers run out on that day or they stop giving them that day.
Check your vouchers.. August 2nd is only 5 days away.0
