Boots -- some of the best buys with the £10 electrical voucher

My mum and I went to the newish large Boots in Canterbury to spend our electic vouchers. It took us a while but I think we did very well. We got one Babyliss Silky Smooth for £2.95 and a Babyliss Drop Curl Iron reduced from £20.00 to £10.00 so didn't pay anything.
The best bargain though was to be a pair of Braun Professional Ceramic Straightning Irons though. We were looking for the cheapest pair to use the voucher against but we could only find quite old modles that were not ceramic so didn't really want those. I had a wander away from the main electric items and found a cardboard stand in the middile of the store full of Braun items. It had about 6 different items on it, most were gas items such as cordless tongs. At the bottem I found about 4 sets of New Professional Irons which were ceramic. On the edge of each shelf there were red strips that told you about the vochers and also had some prices on. It was pretty clear that all the items did not have correct prices in front of them but I thought I had found the right price for the irons as the description right in front of them said "Professional C Styler", I assumed that this was an abreviation and took the price to be £29.99. We took our items to the till and as they went through they came up as £49.99!! Not happy so the SA sent a girl over to look at the price. She went straight over to the main shelves and came back with a label that said £49.99, I then explained that I had found them on a seperate stand and showed her where they were from. She agreed that the abbrevaition did appear to be describing the irons that we had picked up and said that we could have them for £29.99!! Result, we used the £10.00 voucher and so got a pair of irons worth £49.99 for £19.99!!!
It is probably worth trying this in your local store as I imagine the promotional stand is the same in every store! If you do get lucky please report back as this could be a pretty good offer.0 -
I wanted a new electric tooth brush and Boots was the most obvious place as it is in town. How pleased was I to see this offer! I spent the £15 on new brush heads as they are always needed, got my £10 voucher and then went back and bought my lovely new toothbrush and yes got another voucher!!! Also had a triple points voucher so that bumped my points up nicely!!!!0

The Boots in the Chimes centre in Uxbridge has Babyliss 'Professional Beard & Moustache trimmers' for £9.99
So if you can't find anything else you fancy then you can get this for free (possible xmas pressie?).
I wouldn't fancy your chances on eBaying them though as there are already 6 on there!Better to die on your feet than to live on your knees!0 -
Thanks for this one...0

Hi,
My partner decided she wanted a gas powered hairstyler, we had a voucher and was able to use it against the hair styler saving 10.00 GBP on a gas powered item. Also got another voucher too.

They must be quiet ones. I have some cheap ones which are really noisy and he hates it. He had it done at a barbers and theirs where really quiet.
Any advice would be fantastic
I couldn't use the voucher for these but it was a bargain anyway - in Boots at Canton at Cardiff on saturday i picked up some Vidal Sassoon Max clippers for £15 reduced from £30.
They are cordless rechargeable so great for using outside and are supposedly snag free ( ion technology that somehow moisturises the hair to prevent snags ) ceramic blades and have reversable heads for some reason ! Not tried them yet but they sound the business !
Also available from EBuyer at £14.99.WHOOOOSHHHHHHHHH……..
Blimey what was that ?
That was your life mate
Oh I wasn’t quite ready can I have another go ?
Sorry mate only one per person.0 -
The Boots in the Trafford Centre had quite a few of the Babyliss Chrome Clippers for £15 in stock and on display, but, online it tells you that they are O.O.S. The lady at the electrical counter tried to tell me that I could only use one voucher per purchase, but, she would try it anyway, ("just to prove you wrong" kinda attitude) and if it went through then I could have it at the price after the two vouchers.
Guess who's OH is having their hair trimmed tonight with their new clippers that cost me £3.49???"And crawling on the planet's face,

i've jsut come back from boots. I had a double points voucher so cause i had spent £15 I asked if i could still use it even though it was triple points too. She said yes thats fine. So I got double points and then triple points!! well chuffed.
I've now got 3 vouchers so i think tomorrow i might go and get some electric toothbrushes for the kids to put away for christmas.0
