Unverified buyer

I have finally had a buyer sort out his paypal account and pay but unfortunately his address is unverified and the item value is £46 so I don't want to risk it.

I have sent him a message explaining the problem and a link showing him how to get his account verified.

But my question is do I have to refund his payment and then after he gets his account verified resend payment or can I just hang onto the money and once he gets his account verified it will show up my end and then I can send it?

Make sure you're asking for a confirmed address, not a verified one... no point confusing matters

Well ive sent him a link which explains what he needs to do and why and has pictures to show him how to it.

Hopefully he will be ok.

I guess it was to much to ask.

He seems to think he can just verify his address by telling me what it is through ebay.

After replying to that and telling him why I cant send it and I have refunded his payment and after getting it verified he needs to resend payment I get this.

Ive got the same problem on a £24 sale, would anyone here post to an unconfirmed address?

If i do is the buyer covered by buyer protection becuase my paypal is all sorted, and im not covered by seller protection because his isnt? Have i got that right?

your not covered by seller protection.
you could risk it as long as your posting method offers enough compensation but its up to you on that

i would check the buyers feedback. if they have lots of good feedback then i would risk it

Just tell the buyer they're not covered if something goes wrong, so confirming is actually in their best interests.
