Hello,
Just wanted to make people aware, 6 months ago I registered on the Friends reunite website and decided to upgrade my membership to enable me to try and find some lost family members. I had no problems upgrading and membership payment went through also with no problems.
This week I received my credit card bill and there was an amount of £7.50 paid to friends reunite. I immediatley sent Friends Reunite an email asking why they had taken £7.50 from my credit card without my prior agreement.
I received an email back saying that my memebership was set to continuious membership and that they had now changed my membership to a one-off type. They offered no refund of the £7.50.
I replied again asking if they could refund the money to my credit card as I had not to my knowledge asked for a 'continuious membership' as saw no reason why they should just take money from my card without my consent.
I have today received another email from them saying that they will refund the money in full.
I know it was only £7.50 but it is the principal. So beware of continuious memberships :T

That's the problem with giving bank details to companies isn't it! They seem to think it's a licence to take money out of your a/c without telling you:mad: Well done for spotting it..how many people miss these amounts:eek: As I've said before "At least !!!!!! Turpin wore a mask!"0
