T.V. Technical fault with this channel

That is the message that we get on all channels.
We have Sky T.V. with a dish and no ordinary aerial.
Is it a fault with our TV?

This happened with me last night approx 12.30 in the middle of a film!

When I got up this morning it was still the same so I did the following:

Turn Sky on Standby
Unplug
Turn card upside down - chip facing up - and move card from side to side
Plug back in
Leave on standby for 1 minute
Press Sky button
Take card out and turn around

This worked for me. I was told to do this in the past by Sky and always try this now before ringing them up. Hope it works for you.

This happens to me from time to time, well usually around 7 in the evening.
Its always fixable by switching the box off at the mains for at least a minute.
The box then reboots.
PS Mine is a Sony STB
