Hot water

Options
Wonder if someone can help me please

I have a Vokera combi boiler. I get hot water in the kitchen and bathroom sink, however no hot water in the bath.

I have central heating cover with BG, a plumber did come out after checking the boiler and gas pressure, he says i need to change the pipe from the meter to the boiler.

Is this right, never had this problem before, had the boiler for over 9 years,a bit confused.

Did the engineer check the working pressure at the boiler AND meter, this would tell him if the pipework is restrictive or the meter governer faulty.

If your house originally had an ordinary boiler with a cylinder, (airing cupboard) you may find that the hot supply to the bath is in 22mm pipework with a 3/4 connection to the tap, this can lead to too much water flow for the boiler to heat up. Try turning the tap on just until the boiler fires, does the water get hotter? Next grab a couple of empty milk cartons and measure the amount of water that comes out of the tap when its on full for one minute, if its over 12 litres or so that may be your problem
Mine needed a new fan so that must be whats wrong with yours:D
