I've just agreed to this makeover and have had 135.00 taken from my account already (for 3 people) - they called me when I was shopping and it all sounded great until I googled it on return to my office and saw this thread!!!! I spoke to my bank to cancel it but it's too late to do so, I know that Skylight won't refund this as they stated quite clearly that this is non-refundable until you turn up for the appointment - what can I do now??? Really wish I'd asked them to call me back so I could've checked this out before agreeing!!!!0

... that I found this thread!
My daughter just received a phone call to say she had won a makeover and photo shoot... she was so happy she was bouncing around the room! The minute she said deposit I thought hmmmm... I need to look into this and thank god I did!
Thanks for the warnings everyone0 -
It's Friday evening and I've just been on the phone with a Borat sounding guy. He first called me on the train to tell me I have won the competition, that they are a new studio looking for promotion and is my lucky day. When he found out I was on the train he asked me if I was on a 'private' part of the train, I said of course not, then he said he'd call me when I get home. I was quite excited at the news of me and 3 friends having won this prize, but luckily in the meantime I came accross this thread.
He called me at home and the jokes and compliments got cheesier and cheesier (e.g. " a woman is not complete without a makeover right?" or "will make sure special women like you won't get lost finding us"). Also, he mentioned that the makeup artists have worked with Hollywood actresses and the studio has been partnered with Cosmopolitan.
He also mentioned that all weekends in November and December are fully booked so I could book a weekend only in January. I chose a date and then he asked for a 'guarantee', i.e. my credit card details. I politely explained that I am not going to give my credit card details to a stranger, he tried a bit more. Then I asked the question 'Are the photos included in the prize?' . And guess what? He hung up !!!!
Don't fall for it, it's worrying that all weekends in nov and dec are booked already, if he's right, enough people have fallen for it. It's obviously not a new studio, just an old trick. Thanks for your posts on thnis thread. I'm planning to contact Watchdog too about it.0
