Kitchen appliances - buying everything where best?

Options
Hi

Me and my oh have no option but to rebuy nearly everything in our kitchen. Everything was bough 14 years ago and over the past 2 years everything has gone kaput  . This includes boiler, bed etc but our main concern is cooker/fridge/washing machine/microwave.

Where is the best/cheapest place to buy electrical appliances from? From a brief search i've worked out that empire is the cheapest so far. But not sure if we'd benefit from buying with tesco just for the club card points.

Any advice would be fab :D

Also whilst i'm here, wheres the best place to get a bed from fairly cheaply?

Thanks xx
:p Love being a mummy

I just bought a load of appliances from http://www.365electrical.com, as they were the only place who could supply every item I wanted. I found them good on price, customer service and delivery. Based on my experience, I'd recommend them

Loads of things to think about jenkelly. We all want a great price, good service & reliable appliance.

The big boys aren't always best on price - for example - we are :rotfl: :rotfl: at things like charging £5 for removing & recycling packaging. Expecting the CUSTOMER to disconnect and leave OUTSIDE their old appliance on the day of delivery and then charging £15 to take it away. 2-man delivery premium (if there are any obstructions) £50 will do nicely!:rotfl:

I betcha a local firm would charge you maybe a tenner or so to take away old machine .... job done!

DH says he looks after HIS customers too well. :p They get all the above done, new one connected and a run through of the instructions!

Oh and don't forget - if you have a query or problems afterwards you will most likely be able to speak to a human being who knows what they are talking about and not spend all morning in a musical queue, to be told you have to wait 2 weeks for an engineer.

Screw-fix is great - we spend loads with them and often recommend them. Just looked at the selection of washing machines and it is VERY small. OK free delivery and I think that's it. If you are happy for a machine just to be dropped off in a box and you are able to move it, connect it and get it going, that's fine. Go for it!

However, if you expect more than this or are unable to DIY, you'd need to ask about all the other things and I can't see anywhere that they would take away your old machine either!
